Welcome to the world of Aegeas Yachting, a world of blue and crystal-clear sea sprinkled with a thousand islands. Each island is steeped in history with its own unique and incomparable beauty. My name is Stathis Sofitsis and I am the owner of six sailing yachts. Each one is lovingly maintained and cared for by me, personally. Because of this, I am able to provide them for charter at very competitive prices. Further, I also manage other charter yachts located at different locations all around Greece. Our aim is to simply provide you and your family, friends or colleagues with an unforgettable sailing experience. From our base in Kavala we are able to provide you under agreement with everything you may require to enjoy a complete and stress-free holiday. These can include: 1) Transport straight to our yachts from and to our two airports – Kavala and Thessaliniki 2) All food and beverage supplies 3) Full 24-hour support 4) If required, fully qualified skippers to ensure your crew enjoys our full support. Yachts can be chartered basically from our home port in Kavala (Northern Greece), but also under agreement from Halkidiki, Skiathos (Sporades), Volos, Athens and Lefkas. The yachts are moored in the city of Kavala as their permanent anchorage and there are two airports close by offering many charter flights for your convenience.

Sincerely yours,
Stathis Sofitsis

Stathis SofitsisOwner of Aegeas Yachting / RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Sail Instructor
I have been sailing for 40 years, the past 25 being on a professional basis. I am a certified Yachtmaster Offshore Sail Instructor. My diploma was issued by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), for sailing boats weighing up to 200 tons. Every year I sail more than 5000 nautical miles either as a skipper in chartered sailing boats, in races or while teaching sailing. I have sailed at all levels in most Mediterranean countries, as well as Great Britain. In 2002, I crossed the Atlantic in Aegeas, a Jeanneau Sun Fizz 40, while participating in the famous ARC transatlantic race. The starting point of ARC is located in Las Palmas of the Canary Islands and finishes approximately 3000 miles away in St. Lucia, Antilles in the open shores of Venezuela.
